Introducing: Sovereign Sunshine Days
Every month the staff at Sovereign celebrate Sunshine Day, with fun activities designed to raise funds for the winning Sovereign Sunshine charity. This usually involves getting dressed in theme, and included a stair challenge, and a pie-throwing competition! A different team leads the fundraising each month, staff donations to the winning charity are matched by Sovereign also.

31 January 2012 - With the new year in full swing, 2012 is looking to be a great year for all six of January's shortlisted charities who are now due to receive a donation from Sovereign thanks to your votes. January's category was 'Children’s health and rehabilitation'.
30 December 2011 - We've counted the votes and are delighted to announce the charity donation results for December 2011. November's category was 'Children’s health - life threatening illness'. .
Sunshine Day
22 November 2011 - Sovereign's Human Resources and Strategy + Research and Risk team put together a great day filled with activities and hampers inspired by summer to raise money for @Heart on our most recent Sunshine Day, 9 November.
A sausage sizzle, bake sale, and hampers were all part of the day, and in total they helped to raise an additional $5,806 for @Heart, who were the recipients of the most votes in October's shortlisting.
13 October 2011 - Sovereign's Operations - Management team put together several amazing hampers, which were raffled off to raise money for Allergy NZ on our most recent Sunshine Day, 12 October.
The hampers went down like a treat! And, in total they helped to raise an additional $3,648.32 for Allergy NZ, who were the recipients of the most votes in September's shortlisting.

31 July 2009 - Newborn babies at Starship Children's Hospital will soon benefit from lifesaving 'BiliBlankets' which are used for the treatment of babies suffering from jaundice. Starship Foundation's Fundraising Director Bobbie Brown, said the purchase of the two blankets was due to a recent donation of nearly $14,000 made by the Sovereign Sunshine initiative.
