KidsCan is an official charity of the All Blacks and aims to meet the basic physical and nutritional needs of financially disadvantaged New Zealand children in low decile schools. KidsCan currently assists over 42,000 children at 205 schools nationwide with still more on the waiting list who need help.
The ‘Raincoats for Kids’, ‘Food for Kids’, and ‘Shoes for Kids’ initiatives have increased school attendance and performance as well as improving children’s health, behaviour and self esteem. Levelling the playing field for these children, by providing basic items most of kids take for granted, they are able to participate effectively at school and reach their full potential.
