Established in 1992, the Starship Children's Hospital is focused on giving sick children from across New Zealand and the Pacific the best treatment possible. Treating more than 100,000 patients a year is a mammoth task, and many young patients arrive at Starship with the odds stacked against them.
The Starship Foundation, as the charitable trust to the hospital, plays a vital role in ensuring patients and their families get the best care possible. With the ongoing support of the community and business sectors, the Foundation helps to provide staff, patients and their families with a facility in keeping with top paediatric hospitals around the world.
Our vision is: Starship Foundation harnesses the love and support of New Zealanders to enhance the health, happiness and wellbeing of children and their families.
Winning a donation from Sovereign will help us achieve:
Starship Foundation has a list of urgently required equipment and facilities totalling nearly $6 million. All donations will be used to fund these needs for Starship Hospital. By providing the best in medical services and equipment we can give sick children the best possible chance.
