Read more about Stars:
Stars is a programme for Year 9 (age 13) students, to help them make a successful transition to secondary school. We do this through a year long programme that teaches a range of skills to succeed academically and socially. Topics deal with building self-confidence, communication skills and making positive choices.
Stars works to improve the sense of community within the whole school by training senior students (Year 12 and 13) in mentoring and leadership skills to support the junior students. Stages include an Adventure Camp, a Community Challenge and mentoring. Stars is a charitable trust and has been operating since 2000. It is a Foundation for Youth Development programme.
Winning a donation from Sovereign will help us achieve:
Option A: A $15,000 donation would fund a staff member to co-ordinate the Stars Programme for one year.
Option B: A $15,000 donation would be a 50% contribution to a 4 day Adventure Camp.
