Established in 1990, the DARE Foundation is a national non profit, providing free "Skills for Life" Education to over 55,000 Kiwis last year. Offering seven different programmes and engaging children, parents and their communities, we seek to challenge them to DARE to develop skills in Decision-making, Assertiveness, Responsibility, and Esteem to enable young people to make informed and supported choices for a powerful life.

Winning a donation from Sovereign will help us achieve:

Dare for web

Training events for facilitators throughout the country who deliver the DARE Community programmes, DARE to Move On and DARE to Be You. Using a process called bibiliotherapy as a non-confrontational means of engagement and mentorship with youth and "youth at risk." DARE to Move on and DARE to Be You programmes give these youth the skills required to make the right decisions.
