Homes of Hope was founded in 2002. Our Organisation provides safe nurturing homes and therapeutic foster care for high needs children who have experienced trauma, abuse or neglect.
Our mission is 'Building the shattered lives of children together'.
Every child who has experienced trauma due to abuse or neglect suffers emotionally, physically and psychologically. Delayed developmental milestones which affect learning, growth and development resulting in learning related disorders are the consequence. Our passion is to bring restoration and healing to these precious lives for children who deserve every opportunity to thrive and be all that they were created to be.
Our core value is stability and consistency of care. "When children have lost everything the one thing we can offer them is a home for as long as they need one, offering them stability and healing from their traumatic experiences" says CEO and co-founder Hilary Price. Our homes are unique in New Zealand and provide a long term commitment for sibling groups whilst resolution is made for their families. Too many children have never experienced a stable family home. Homes of Hope are doing something practical to help!
