Read more about Kahu Youth Trust:
Kahu Youth Trust is an organisation that employs two youth workers to advocate and create programs and projects to enhance the well being and safety and confidence of the Upper Clutha Youth.
They are employed for 60 hours a week to do this. Currently they have three after-school adventure clubs that cater for up to 60 youth aged between 11 - 16 years. They also have a Youth Council for young people aged 13 and over, which can have up to 20 youth attending. They also work with young people in College who need assistance during class. Kahu Youth have been working for over five years and are well received within the community. They also work en masse on projects for festivals, and run Alcohol-free events to encourage a sense of community in their town.
