Lantern House Trust is a new charity aiming at building a home away from home for high needs disabled young people.

The inspiration came when in 2009 families were told that when their children reached school leaving age there would be no residential or day service facility available for them. This was devastating news for the families involved so Lantern House Trust was formed to try and do something about it. We have a five year plan to raise awareness and funds to build a house for the high needs children, as well as offer day service and respite care to more that need it.

The house will be a home away from home with the parents still actively involved in their childrens lives but knowing that they are somewhere safe, secure and stimulating as they grow older.

Winning a donation from Sovereign will help us achieve:

If we won a Sovereign Sunshine donation at present it would go into the bank to take us one step closer to our goal. Of securing land, building a purpose built house, training staff and ensuring everything these children need is available to them.
