Read more about Lifeboyz Trust:
Lifeboyz Trust is a non-profit charitable trust providing After School and School Holiday Programmes, primarily for children with special needs. For many of our children, mainstream Out of School Care is not an option due to their medical conditions or behavioural issues, so we welcome them to Lifeboyz and work with the children and their families to put measures in place to ensure their ongoing needs and happiness are continually met. Some of the children have emotional or socializing issues, and we work with them to establish trust and restore self esteem.
With our dedicated young team of Youth workers, we provide the children with opportunities far beyond those normally available, and are continually developing our programmes and resources to ensure Lifeboyz exceeds expectations.
Winning a donation from Sovereign will help us achieve:
This would be used toward the purchase of a much needed additional vehicle for our After School Programme. We collect children, with and without special needs, from nominated schools within the East Auckland area, so they can attend our programme. This service is vital to the children and their families, and owing to the recession many more families are reliant on our service to collect their children from school. Without it, many of our children would be unable to attend our programme, increasing stress within the family and community. As our programme numbers are increasing, we are needing to increase our vehicles to cope with the demand.
