Seabrook McKenzie

The Trust runs the Seabrook McKenzie Centre which provides information, support and professional services to people with SLD (including Dyslexia and Dyspraxia) and their families. These services include, but are not limited to assessments, specialist tuition, Speech Language therapy, Occupational therapy, counselling, social skills and parenting courses. The Trust also runs the Jean Seabrook Memorial School, a primary school for children with severe SLDs. In addition the Centre provides courses, seminars and workshops for teachers, other professionals and the community.

To provide information and support to schools to help them cater for the needs of all children with SLD and make classroom experience less traumatic for all and to provide advocacy for families struggling to have the needs of their children recognised. Presently information is not available to many schools.
