Halberg Trust Mission: The Halberg Trust will honour sporting excellence and link people with a disability to sport and active leisure.
The Halberg Trust Sport Opportunity Programme is committed to ensuring people with a disability can participate in inclusive sport and active leisure within their community. The Programme is delivered by Sport Opportunity Advisers who work within Regional Sports Trusts located throughout New Zealand.
The Activity Fund is available to support the additional costs associated with having a disability, that is the cost over and above what a non-disabled child or their parents would be reasonably expected to pay. An application can be made to support physical activities like lessons or equipment.

Over the last four years the Halberg Trust Activity Fund has allocated over $550,000 in grants, at an average of $137,000 per year. There have been approximately 1700 young people supported in that time, and every year, there is demand for even more.
The benefits to the children are numerous and provide an opportunity for them to become more active, more often in their community.

The donation would go towards the Halberg Trust Activity Fund. To help fund the cost of equipment (eg: trikes, trampolines, boccia sets, fatso wheels, freedom wheels etc) and lessons (swimming, skiing, tennis etc) for the disabled children who apply.
