The OSCAR Foundation aims to actively, represent, promote and support quality Out of School Care and Recreational services with in New Zealand. We achieve our objectives through community focused work (advocacy, membership services and training providers) as well as contractual advice and support work (OSCAR advisors).

The Sovereign Sunshine donation would be used for the coordination of OSCAR week.OSCAR Week provides an opportunity for OSCAR programmes to celebrate all that is great about OSCAR. One of the key objectives of OSCAR Week is to raise the profile of OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recreation) services. This is achieved by releasing national media releases around the event, encouraging individual programmes to contact their local media to get interviewed and encouraging programmes to take part in the two week event by organising and participating in activities involving their local communities.
