2011 Companion Training Workshops |
| Description: | A Companion is a person over the age of 18 who is willing to support a camper throughout the term of a camp and beyond. Companions should be positive, cheerful, enthusiastic, responsible, energetic people who love to laugh and have a good time. You will need to attend a training workshop to learn about us and for us to learn about you. These workshops are great fun and a wonderful learning experience. Not only will you learn about the Camp Quality process but you will meet many like minded people and also develop your own inter personal skills. Become a Companion |
| Description: | Companions are the life blood of Camp Quality. Before camp each child is assigned a trained companion; a 24 hour buddy, who gives them one-on-one support throughout the term of a camp and beyond. Aged 18 and over, companions are positive, cheerful, enthusiastic, responsible, energetic people who ensure each child has a wonderful experience. - Are you 18 or over? - Are you available over summer? - Are you caring and positive? - Are you able to function on limited sleep? - Do you enjoy fun and adventure? If you answered yes to these questions and are willing to invest your time and energy supporting a camper then we would love to hear from you. Potential companions will need to attend an interview, complete one of our training days and sign a Police Disclosure form. |

Become a Volunteer |
| Description: | Camp Quality is totally run by volunteers who generously give up their time to deliver our camps and programmes. You may prefer to participate in a camp as a staff person taking responsibility for organising a diverse range of activities for the campers; taking photographs or video footage; assisting with catering or any number of other essential tasks. Maybe your skills are more administrative and you can work as a fundraiser, letter writer, data processor or similar. Whatever your talents, as long as you are passionate about the welfare of children, then there is a role in Camp Quality for you. |
