Six charities in March receive their share of $10,000

31 March 2010 - This year, Sovereign Sunshine works a little differently - meaning we'll be making a difference in the lives of even more Kiwi kids. Thanks to the new donation structure, all six charities shortlisted in the 'Children's health - mental wellness and support for emotional trauma' category will receive a portion of Sovereign's $10,000 donation, according to the 'share' of votes they received in March!

February’s six shortlisted charities to receive a share of $10,000

26 February 2010 - Thanks to the new donation structure and your votes, all six charities shortlisted in February will receive a donation. $10,000 has been divided between the six charities according to the proportion of the vote they received. In addition to this, the winning charity received an additional $5675.84, from funds raised by Sovereign staff on Sunshine Day (10 March) and matched by Sovereign.

Sunshine Day fundraising gives $7,181 to Lisa’s Wish

16 February 2010 - This month our focus has been children whose parents or caregivers have terminal cancer. Our Human Resources and Adviser Distribution teams co-ordinated a day of fundraising activities on 10 February, and the money donated by Sovereign staff will be used by Lisa's Wish to help give these children the emotional support they need.

How animals are educating children through the RNZSPCA

25 January 2010 - The Royal New Zealand SPCA works across New Zealand to provide care and protection to animals, focusing in particular on animals that have been the victims of abuse, cruelty and neglect. A vital component of our work is educating the public on animal care and concerns, and key to this is our empathy education program, One of the Family.
